I didn’t come to web design the usual way. For years I worked in hospitality across Tenerife behind bars and in hotels, on the floor every night, reading people and working out what they needed before they’d say it. That taught me the thing most of this industry skips: a business doesn’t win on how its website looks. It wins on how the site makes someone feel. A website has the same job a good host does make a stranger feel understood, earn their trust, give them a reason to stay. I taught myself to build them so I could do that job in code. Same instinct, different room.
